Job Title: Purchase Cum Store Manager

Location: Hyderabad

Reports To: MD

Job Summary: The Purchase Cum Store Manager is responsible for managing the procurement of products and supplies necessary for the retail store's operations. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness, and coordinating with various departments to meet the store's purchasing needs. The Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service, optimizing sales, managing inventory, and leading the store team. The Store Manager is also accountable for meeting sales targets, maintaining store standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Procurement Strategy:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Monitor market trends and make recommendations for procurement strategies.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet sales demands.
• Monitor inventory turnover and manage stock replenishment.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manage deliveries.

Cost Management:

• Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Ensure procurement activities are within budget.
• Track and report on procurement expenditures and savings.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all products and supplies meet quality standards and specifications.
• Address quality issues with suppliers and resolve any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product compliance.

Coordination and Collaboration:

• Work closely with the sales, operations, and finance teams to understand purchasing needs.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding procurement activities.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and performance.
• Analyze procurement data and trends to make informed decisions.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare and analyze sales reports and KPIs.
• Identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement action plans to drive business performance.

Compliance, Loss Prevention and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments as necessary.
• Implement loss prevention measures to protect assets.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Recruit, train, and develop store staff.
• Create a positive and motivating work environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Schedule and manage staff to ensure optimal coverage.

Sales and Customer Service:

• Achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
• Implement sales strategies and promotions.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Handle customer complaints and issues effectively.

Store Operations:

• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Manage cash handling and banking procedures.
• Oversee visual merchandising to align with brand standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid understanding of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
• Proficient in MS Office and procurement software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar retail management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid understanding of retail management best practices.
• Proficient in MS Office and retail management software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
