Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Business, or a related field, and at least one year of experience in Indian wear for women and merchandising or buying. The role involves regular communication with vendors, placing purchase orders, analyzing market trends, managing inventory, ensuring profitability, and collaborating with the sales team. Fluency in Hindi and English and availability to work from Monday to Saturday are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with all vendors in the designated region.
• Place purchase orders based on product demand and market requirements.
• Analyse market trends and stay informed about competitive products.
• Manage and minimise dead stock, ensuring it stays below a specified level.
• Ensure the department's overall profitability remains positive.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand SKU demand and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Indian wear for women.
• At least 1 year of experience in merchandising or buying.
• Availability to work from Monday to Saturday.
• Fluency in both Hindi and English.

Experience

• 1+ Year in women's ethnic wear, preferable women's suits.
