Position Title: Purchase Assistant

Position Overview:
The Purchase Assistant will assist the purchasing department in managing supplier relationships, procuring materials, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Management :
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers.
- Maintain and update the supplier database.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
2. Procurement Process :
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and promptly.
- Track the status of orders and follow up with suppliers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
3. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure adequate stock of materials.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping :
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, suppliers, and inventory.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to orders and deliveries.
5. Cost Control:
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement.
6. Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with various departments, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management principles.

Pay: From ?20,000.00 per month
