Public relations officers responsible for maintaining the desired image of a health care facility in the public eye . As such, they must be knowledgeable about the internal workings of the facility and must also be aware of its strategic objectives.
The Public Relations Department is responsible for implementation of hospital marketing programs, advertising, communication, patient satisfaction monitoring . Not only does it help the hospital organization achieve its socio- economic goals but also helps in patients well being/speedy recovery
Day-to-day duties may include writing press releases, liaising with local and national press and coordinating messaging going out on website, social media and in print.
• Develop and implement effective public relations strategies to enhance the hospital's image and visibility.
• Manage media relations, including writing press releases, organizing press conferences, and coordinating interviews.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the hospital, addressing inquiries and providing accurate information.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, community leaders, and government officials.
• Plan and execute community outreach programs and events to promote the hospital's services and initiatives.
• Monitor media coverage and manage the hospital's online presence, including social media channels.
• Prepare and distribute informative materials, such as newsletters, brochures, and annual reports.
• Handle crisis communication and provide timely responses to incidents affecting the hospital's reputation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
MINIMUM -2 YEARS EXPERIENCE
