PATH\xe2\x80\x99s strategy for building the CPHC model is through technical assistance, partnerships, and innovations for enhancing the accessibility of primary healthcare services and strengthening the capacity, efficiency, and resilience of the health systems.Additionally, it aims to catalyze community engagement for health systems that are responsive and accountable. As a part of this program, PATH proposes to integrate and strengthen services for youth and adolescents to position the urban primary healthcare facilities as an Adolescent-friendly hubs by establishing linkages with existing government programs.This position is on Third Party Payroll- RandstadAbout the positionPATH is seeking a Public Health Coordinator position for strengthening urban primary healthcare focusing on young and adolescent healthcare issues in the state of Manipur. Key responsibilities of the position include technical assistance in planning and implementation of urban health programs with a focus on strengthening adolescent-friendly health services in urban settings.Responsibilities:Provide technical support to the state and districts in the establishment of urban Health and Wellness centers as per the state\xe2\x80\x99s target and strengthening existing urban primary health centers to improve the continuum of care for Adolescent health services in urban areas.Creating linkages of urban HWCs with school health programs and strengthening the delivery of preventive and promotive care for young adolescents at urban HWCs and UPHCs.Facilitate coordination between the district and state urban health units to accelerate improvements in urban health.Travel to assigned districts for planning, implementing, and monitoring the key project activities.Undertake periodic monitoring and supportive supervision visits to health facilities in the intervention districts and share feedback at the district and state levels for planning corrective actions.Facilitation support in planning and organizing special outreach camps and UHNDs in the intervention districts.Prepare action plans to address the gaps in the operationalization of urban HWCs and strengthening of UPHCs.Facilitate the capacity building of the division, district & facility-level functionaries on various Urban Health interventions, and adolescent health components.Facilitation support to the districts for conducting health awareness campaigns at schools.Support in establishing model Adolescent Friendly Health Clinic in the intervention districts.Facilitate the constitution of Adolescent-friendly Clubs (AFCs) at the urban HWC and UPHC level to enable cross-learning among peer educators and youth groups.Work closely with partners to strengthen the community engagement component and preparation of roadmap and action plan for the engagement of youth and adolescents.Timely collection, compilation, and analysis of program implementation data from all the assigned districts and give feedback to the concerned districts and state program lead for its regular uptake.Liaison and stakeholder management at the district level involved in project activities.Support in the documentation of learnings, results, successes, challenges, and disseminationUndertake other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the national or state leadership.Available to travel at the district level up to 50-60% of the time.Qualifications and experience:BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ M.Sc. Nursing is preferred with a post-graduation degree in public health/health administration/health management or another relevant fieldAt least 2-3 years of experience in the public health sector focusing on planning and implementation of public health programs.Prior experience working in similar roles, primary healthcare, or urban health settings is desirable.Technical knowledge and field experience in planning and implementation of public health programsProfessional experience working with international donor organizations, civil society, and government organizations.Experience working with NHM in similar geographies will be preferred.Skills/ AbilitiesSelf-starter and committed to performing their duties with a high degree of autonomy and independence in line with project goals and objectives.Management skills, ability to create synergies, and interpersonal skills to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the project.Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi. Understanding of local language will be an asset.Direct experience of independently liaising with government health functionaries, district level administrators and other development partners.Data analysis, data visualization, and analytical thinking skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively collaborative in a matrix organizational structure.Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-site team-based organizational structure, including partners and other collaborators.Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook & Web surfing to search relevant data & documents.Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.Note: This position is funded till June 2024 and may be extended based on the availability of funds.Location: Imphal (Manipur)PATH is dedicated to building an inclusive workforce where diversity is valued.PATH is an equal opportunity employer.
