A psychology teacher in a CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) school plays a crucial role in educating students about the principles, theories, and applications of psychology. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery :
• Teach psychology concepts as per the CBSE syllabus for classes XI and XII.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and teaching aids.
• Conduct classroom lectures, discussions, and activities to enhance understanding of psychological theories and practices.
• Student Assessment :
• Design and administer assessments, including tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
• Evaluate and grade students' work, providing constructive feedback.
• Guidance and Support :
• Offer academic and emotional support to students.
• Guide students in their academic pursuits, including preparation for board exams and higher education in psychology.
• Professional Development :
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of psychology and educational methodologies.
• Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions for professional growth.
• Administrative Duties :
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress and attendance.
• Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events.
• Extracurricular Activities :
• Encourage and oversee students' participation in psychology-related extracurricular activities, such as psychology clubs or fairs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Qualifications :
• A Master's degree in Psychology (M.A. or M.Sc.) from a recognized university.
• A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree, if required by the school.
• Teaching Experience :
• Prior teaching experience in psychology at the school level is preferred.
• Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum and examination pattern.
