Key Responsibilities:
• Assessment and Diagnosis:
• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations using standardized tools and techniques.
• Diagnose mental health disorders based on clinical interviews, observations, and testing.
• Develop comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Therapy and Counseling:
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health issues.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychoanalytic therapy.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to clients' needs.
• Crisis Intervention:
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health crises.
• Develop safety plans and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Offer immediate coping strategies and follow-up care.
• Consultation and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and administrators in educational settings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment plans.
• Preventive Services and Education:
• Develop and conduct mental health workshops, seminars, and educational programs for clients, families, and the community.
• Promote mental health awareness and preventive strategies.
• Provide training and support to staff on mental health-related topics.
• Research and Professional Development:
• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in psychology and mental health.
• Conduct research and contribute to the academic and clinical knowledge base.
• Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Prepare reports and documentation for insurance and billing purposes.
• Track and report on client progress and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the relevant state or country.
• Proven experience in clinical practice, including assessment, diagnosis, and therapy.
• Strong understanding of psychological theories, practices, and ethical standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
