Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum materials for Social Science subjects.
• Ensuring alignment with educational standards and school guidelines.
• Delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding in Social Science topics.
• Using various teaching methods and technologies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Designing and administering assessments (tests, quizzes, projects) to evaluate students' understanding and progress.
• Providing constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
• Establishing and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Managing student behavior effectively and applying disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Providing academic guidance and support to students individually and in small groups.
• Addressing the academic and emotional needs of students, and collaborating with parents and counselors as needed.
• Participating in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated with best practices in teaching, curriculum, and educational technology.
• Collaborating with colleagues and attending workshops or conferences to enhance teaching skills.
• Maintaining regular communication with parents regarding students' progress, behavior, and academic achievements.
• Conducting parent-teacher meetings and responding to parental inquiries and concerns.
• Participating in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities.
• Building positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider community.
