: Primary English Teacher
Position Overview: As a Primary English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching English language skills to young learners, typically between the ages of 5 and 11. This role involves creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities in English.
Qualifications:
• BA in English and B Ed
• Previous experience teaching English to primary school students is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and adaptability in teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development:
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans in accordance with the school's curriculum guidelines.
• Design activities and projects that promote language learning through interactive and creative approaches.
• Classroom Instruction:
• Deliver lessons that cater to varying levels of English proficiency among students.
• Use effective teaching strategies to engage students and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Assessment and Feedback:
• Evaluate students' progress through ongoing assessments, quizzes, and projects.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance and language development.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to coordinate curriculum, share best practices, and support students' overall development.
• Communicate regularly with parents to update them on their child's progress and address any concerns.
• Professional Development:
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on current trends and best practices in English language teaching.
• Continuously improve teaching methods and approaches based on feedback and reflection.
