Job Title: PRT (Primary Teacher) English & EVS Teacher

Location: Yelahanka - Bangalore

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher (PRT) specializing in English and Environmental Science (EVS) to join our passionate faculty team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong command of English language skills, coupled with a profound understanding of environmental issues and sustainability, to inspire and educate young minds effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English language and Environmental Science for Primary classes following the CBSE curriculum guidelines.
• Employ creative and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance language acquisition and environmental awareness among students.
• Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through integrated approaches in teaching English and EVS.
• Curriculum Development:
• Develop and update the English and EVS curriculum for Primary classes, ensuring alignment with CBSE standards and educational best practices.
• Integrate language skills development (reading, writing, speaking, listening) with environmental concepts and issues.
• Design interdisciplinary projects and activities that promote cross-curricular connections between English and EVS.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress in English language proficiency and understanding of EVS concepts.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians to support academic growth and development.
• Classroom Management:
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and cooperation among students.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Collaboration and Professional Development:
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and instructional strategies for teaching English and EVS effectively.
• Participate in professional development activities and workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with current educational trends in language teaching and environmental education.
• Parent Communication:
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, academic achievements, and areas for improvement.
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and conferences to discuss student performance and provide guidance on supporting learning at home.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent with specialization in English and EVS or related field.
• Certified or eligible for certification as a teacher in accordance with CBSE norms.
• Proven experience teaching English and EVS to Primary classes in a CBSE school setting.
• Excellent command of English language skills (spoken and written) and strong knowledge of EVS concepts.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring young learners, with a commitment to fostering their holistic development.
