Emergent Risk International (ERI) is seeking to hire a full-time Protective IntelligenceAnalyst to be embedded on an annual contract with one of our multinational clients. Successful candidates will have an analytical and data-driven mindset, desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on protective intelligence analysis and investigations involving threats to the client companys executive personnel, workforce at large, and corporate events.Candidate will work onsite, in the client offices in Bengaluru, India. Our embedded analysts work directly for our clients, allowing them the benefit of employing intelligence professionals trained to ERIs strict standards of competency and continually professionally developed by ERIs senior leadership, armed with access to ERIs proprietary tools and deep backbench of in-house subject matter experts.The Position: The Protective IntelligenceAnalyst will be part of a three-person protective intelligence team that will be responsible for creating a range of intelligence products and support investigations that involved both insider and external threats to the company and its people. The ideal candidate will have experience in due diligence, intelligence, geopolitical risk and corporate threat investigations.The analyst will be trained on ERI-specific analytic tradecraft, writing and analysis as part of the role. Language skills beyond English and business knowledge would be a significant advantage.Primary Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Develop an expert understanding of the clients business model and asset locations, ensuring that all intelligence and reporting is tailored to the clients specific needs.\xc2\xb7 Conduct insider or external threat investigations including interviews, dark web and social media research, criminal databases and other resources and tools.\xc2\xb7 Research entities that may be engaged in fraudulent or unlawful conduct directed at the company or utilizing the companys platform.\xc2\xb7 Utilize open source, vendor tools, and social media to\xe2\x80\xafprovide forward-looking analysis on geopolitical and private sector intelligence issues\xe2\x80\xafwith potential impact to clients personnel, assets, operations and reputation.\xc2\xb7 Understand, interrogate, and visualize high-quality data to draw analytic conclusions, identify trends and add additional context to analysis and reporting.\xc2\xb7 Build and maintain awareness of the broader context and implications of the various types of risk affecting the business (e.g., financial, legal, reputation, etc.) while also tracking trends and signals of potential short- and long-term concern.\xc2\xb7 Provide a customer-service oriented approach for the client and department, which may include availability to support incidents outside of normal working hours.\xc2\xb7 Actively foster\xe2\x80\xafinternal and external relationships to facilitate better information flow and understanding of the needs of the business\xe2\x80\xafincluding working with sector-specific information sharing groups, private-public partnerships, and company employees.Minimum Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 Bachelor's degree in intelligence, international business, journalism, law enforcement investigations or related field.\xc2\xb7 Minimum five plus years of experience in intelligence and investigations, whether having served in the private or public sector, with a demonstrated track record of steadily expanded responsibilities.\xc2\xb7 Excellent writing and editing skills, demonstrable ability to write concise reports suitable for a corporate executive audience.\xc2\xb7 OSINT experience conducting research and intelligence investigations utilizing various tools including social media.\xc2\xb7 Experience conducting behavioral threat assessments.\xc2\xb7 Familiarity and experience conducting external threat investigations including research, identity verification, background and related investigatory research.\xc2\xb7 Strong problem-solving skills, exceptionally organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.\xc2\xb7 Strong attention to detail, solid interpersonal and organizational skills.\xc2\xb7 Excellent critical thinking skills that bolster both analytic work and suitability for serving in a lead client-facing role.\xc2\xb7 Able to meet analytic deadlines and quick-thinking and responsiveness during crisis events.\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information. Superior research/OSINT skills.\xc2\xb7 A strong commitment to ethical private sector intelligence practices and ability to maintain confidentiality around security specific information.\xc2\xb7 Must be able to work flexible schedule as required.\xc2\xb7 Experience with Structured Professional Judgement tools like WAVR-21 and RAGE-V as well as tools like Ontic, Silo, Smartsheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, CPIR and other behavioral analysis tools.\xc2\xb7 Member of ATAP; holding or hoping to attain a CTM certification and other relevant certifications.\xc2\xb7 Ability to run pre-coded SQL queries.\xc2\xb7 Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, if/as permitted by local law.Working Hours: Role is a standard, salaried business hours position.
