Job Description

As a Proposal and Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing technical proposals and designing systems related to water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and engineering teams to create effective and efficient treatment solutions, ensuring that all designs meet regulatory standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development:
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive technical and financial proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to gather relevant data for proposal development.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, and project management) to ensure proposals are accurate and complete.
• Develop cost estimates, technical specifications, and project timelines.
• Design and Engineering:
• Design and optimize water and wastewater treatment systems, including process selection, equipment sizing, and layout.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, REVIT).
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and client requirements.
• Perform hydraulic and process modeling to support design decisions.
• Client and Project Management:
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless transition from proposal to project execution.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design reports, technical papers, and progress reports.
• Monitor and report on project milestones, ensuring timely delivery of proposals and designs.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance proposal quality and design efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment design and proposal development.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, HYSYS, or similar.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?17,732.91 - ?44,850.57 per month
