Job Summary:

The MEP Designer will be responsible for creating detailed plans and handling the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for various projects, including residential, commercial, and hospitality developments. This role requires a thorough understanding of MEP systems, proficiency in design software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Planning:

o Review plans and specifications according to project requirements.

o Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and general piping systems.

o Create and modify MEP designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.

2. Project Management:

o Manage and oversee the work of subordinate staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

o Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated MEP designs.

o Plan, organize, and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and other project team members.

3. Technical Support:

o Provide technical advice to staff designers, supervisors, inspectors, and contracting service providers regarding the installation and maintenance of MEP systems.

o Analyze mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering problems and formulate effective solutions.

o Advise the Project Director on any technical aspects of MEP services that may affect construction progress, including quality or snag issues.

4. Quality Assurance:

o Continually review the contractor's construction schedule during site works with regard to MEP services and report to the Project Director.

o Ensure that all MEP work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

5. Communication and Collaboration:

o Prepare and deliver effective oral presentations as required.

o Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.


#### Job Expectations:


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP design, with a focus on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
