(BSQE) and Project ProceduresJob Dimensions:A. Supervision Received

  • Receives operational direction and guidance for supplier quality activities from the Project Manager and Project Procurement Manager
  • Receives functional guidance from the BSQE Energy GBU Manager, Corporate Operations Manager, and India Regional Manager of BSQE.
B. Supervision Exercised
  • Provides functional and project-related direction and guidance to project supplier quality supervisors, supplier quality representatives, project supplier quality supervisors and other BSQE operation group team members.
C. Contacts
  • Corresponds administratively with supply chain managers, India office functional managers, the GBU functional managers, BSQE, project supplier quality team, project engineering, procurement, quality assurance and construction personnel, and area supplier quality supervisors and specialists.
  • Maintains contact with suppliers and customer
Responsibilities:
  • Lead BSQE Project PSQ activities; benchmarking, budget estimation, Power BI dashboard reporting tools, stakeholder engagement program, Integrated Quality Surveillance (IQS) implementation, Supplier Quality Feedback Checklist (SQFC) development program, PMT & GBU level meeting participation.
  • Represents BSQE and project supplier quality in GBU or project meetings, project reviews and in the resolution of issues relating to BSQE or supplier quality.
  • Researches, summarizes, and populates data in Power BI, excel and other digital tools established by BSQE or by project performance metrics procedure. Develop project specific metrics for implementation as deemed useful by the project team.
  • Assists in the development of the final bid list
  • Assists with the establishment of Quality Surveillance levels required for each purchase.
  • Participates in pre-award and post-award meetings/conferences with suppliers to review area supplier quality\'s right of access, release for shipment authority, and notification on witness and hold points during quality surveillance activities.
  • Prepares quality surveillance and capability survey assignments for execution by the assigned area supplier quality specialists.
  • Participate in Supply Chain Risk Analysis assignments for execution by the assigned area supplier quality specialists and other BSQE team members.
  • Provide project direction to supplier quality representatives that carry assignments for project.
  • Participate in bidder pre-award and post-award activities
  • Plan, prepare and administer Quality Surveillance Assignments
  • Coordinate review, obtain, and resolve project quality assurance and engineering comments on quality surveillance plans when required by project procedures and engineering department procedure instructions (EDPI\'s).
  • Follow project procedures and work processes.
  • Notify the manager and responsible project personnel of any significant problems and initiate timely follow-up.
Job Knowledge:
  • Experience with major commodities typically procured for Energy projects, recognized codes and standards, manufacturing methods.
  • Extensive project supplier quality function experience with having high degree of complexity, e.g., preparation of detailed inspection plans for use on complete or uniquely designed systems; preparation of full scope man-hour and budget estimates for proposed big-sized projects; review of complex technical specifications; or the establishment of project corrective action(s) to resolve nonconformances that have a significant impact on project cost/schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A bachelor\'s engineering degree from a reputed University. Minimum 15+ years of relevant industry experience in inspection and testing activities.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Minimum 20+ Years of Relevant Work Experience
  • Extensive prior experience as PSQS on Pre-FEED / FEED / EPC projects, recognized codes and standards, manufacturing methods.
  • Extensive experience in leadership roles, data analytics, budget estimation, writing technical procedures and problem solving.
