General Information: Business Information: The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy\'s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. Mission Statement: Lead, plan, direct and control the construction of a project to ensure completion in accordance with design requirements and time and costs constraints to achieve profit objectives. Manage all aspects of project delivery from site and team-setup to handover. Reports to senior management on all issues relating to the project on a regular basis. Maintain strategic role in client liaison. Develop and review construction planning and monitor progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates. Authorize and direct construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules. An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Your Responsibilities: Review customers\' specifications and examine new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to desired contract terms and conditions. Monitor, analyze, and report on contract performance, and control contract documents. Review and coordinate flow of information among various groups and customers, and implement measures to resolve problems, ensure meeting schedule commitments and achieve customer satisfaction. May act as the group\'s representative in meetings with customers and suppliers. Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, and manages project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer. Your Background: Bachelor\'s degree and a minimum 1 to 2 years\' experience in similar position, project management or commercial operations OR associate degree and minimum of 4 years\' experience in similar position, project management or commercial operations. Huge plus if prior industrial, technical experience. Organized and structured approach to projects in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Able to prioritize tasks and activities based on the current load. Team player who likes to win ravishing the customer. Need excellent computer skills (good working knowledge of Excel and MS Office). Prior SAP experience a huge plus. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
