Job Title: Project Specialist

The Project Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed project plans at granular levels for the project director. This role involves using appropriate metrics to measure project maturity and identifying areas for improvement. The Project Specialist will develop best practices in project management, implement project knowledge, and manage skill development. This role also includes reporting on project progress, communication with stakeholders, and internal training.


### Key Responsibilities:


• Project Planning: Create and maintain project plans with detailed activities and milestones.
• Metrics and Improvement: Use appropriate metrics to measure project maturity and identify areas for improvement.
• Best Practices Development: Develop and implement best practices in project management.
• Progress Reporting: Report on project progress against the plan, including detailed activities and milestones.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project progress and highlights to stakeholders.
• Training and Development: Conduct training and development sessions for internal resources.
• Incident Reporting: Report project-related incidents and events.
• Process Review: Review the effectiveness and efficiency of project processes.
• Innovator Development: Create an environment for innovators to achieve professional career path goals.
• Policy Enforcement: Enforce policies related to performance evaluations and review management evaluations for consistency.
• Career Planning: Emphasize the importance of career planning and performance evaluation programs.
• Project Manager Development: Manage the development of project managers and leads, assign tasks, and provide growth opportunities.
• Internal Operations: Review status reports from Project Managers and Senior Managers, addressing issues as needed.
• Expertise Sharing: Lend expertise to internal teams and task forces.
• Policy Development: Develop policies, best practices, and protocols in identified areas.
• Policy Review: Review and update policies and practices regularly.

### Qualifications:


#### Professional Experience:


• Minimum of 15+ years' experience managing large software development projects.
• Must have independently handled at least two large projects from concept stage to implementation.

#### Technical Skills:


• Strong technical experience with Microsoft technologies, including:
• .Net
• MS-SQL Server
• Windows Server
• BizTalk

#### Educational Background:


• B.Tech/BE/MCA/M. Tech/ME/PhD in Computer Science/Information Technology (IT) or related fields with consistently good academic record.

#### Preferred Certifications:


• PMP (Project Management Professional) and equivalent.
• CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT).
• ML (Foundation).
• PM Tool.
• Microsoft Certifications in .Net, BizTalk, MS-SQL.
