Applications are invited for the Post of Project Scientist for the VIT-IAMRAI Collaborative Projects on Paediatric cardiac healthcare technologies in the School of Healthcare Science and Engineering (SHINE), at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).Title of the Project:xe2x80x9c3D Object Viewer Development (VR/AR and Desktop Platforms)xe2x80x9dQualification:Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields, or significant practical experience in VR/AR software development with imaging or 3D visualization. 2+ years of experience in real-time 3D rendering, networked applications, or related software development. Proficiency in Unity development, including experience with networking frameworks (e.g., Photon, Netcode for Game Objects). Familiarity with VR/AR development and multi-platform deployment is preferred.DescribeSelf-driven, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Proficient in C#, C++, or Python, with hands-on experience in Unity's XR Toolkit and familiarity with 3D model formats (e.g., OBJ, STL). Background in image segmentation, registration, or visualization techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with handling medical image processing formats (e.g., DICOM) or software tools (e.g., ITK/VTK, 3D Slicer) is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork.
