Applications are invited for the Post of Project Research Scientist -I for the Extramural Research -Intermediate Grants - ICMR Funded Project in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE), at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore in collaboration with Schiefflin Institute of Health Research & Leprosy Centre (SIHRLC), Karigiri, Vellore (File No. EM/Dev/IG/24/0630/2023 (E-Office-177820) dated 21-02-2024)Title of the Project:\xe2\x80\x9cExplainable Artificial Intelligence framework using deep learning neural network and machine learning algorithms for epidemiological prediction and analysis of Leprosy transmission and drug resistance\xe2\x80\x9d.Number of Posts: 2Post-1: Project Research Scientist I (non-medical)Qualification:M. Tech / M.E in CSE/IT Core or with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics or a related Engineering field with two years of experience.Describe if any:Candidates must have thorough knowledge in implementing applications related to data analytics using Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and Deep Neural Networks with Python. Those with knowledge in processing Genome Sequencing data will be given preference. The candidate must be ready to travel to other states of India for data collection and work in the community departments of the collaborative center as per requirement.Post-2: Project Research Scientist I (non-medical)Qualification:M. Tech in Biotechnology/ M.Sc in Biotechnology/ M.Sc in Animal BiotechnologyDescribe if any:Candidates must have an expertise in molecular techniques (nucleic acid extraction, qRT-PCR, whole genome sequencing) and must have experience in animal handling.
