HelpAge India is a leading charitable organisation working with and for older people in India for over 46 years. It runs healthcare, agecare, livelihood, disaster response and digital empowerment programs throughout the country and advocates for the elder cause. It became the first and only Indian organisation to be honoured with the 'UN Population Award 2020' for its exemplary work in the field of ageing, recognition of the organisation's outstanding contribution to population issues and efforts in the realisation of older persons rights in India. We have been awarded highest CRISIL VO1A grading for excellence in operations and high credibility.
In India there are an estimated 138 million elders, most elders are digitally challenged, •59% elders have no access to digital devices. Amongst those using of digital devices, 34% of all elderly surveyed used them for entertainment and social media regularly, very often or sometimes. 17% did information search and only 13% used it for internet banking / digital payments and 12% for payment of utility bills / booking tickets and a very small percentage (8%) used health apps.
HelpAge India has been working towards bridging this digital divide through on-ground workshops with senior citizens groups. Going forward, it plans to further expand its reach and conduct focused Digital & Financial Literacy workshops across the country, with the aim to train and empower senior citizens.
PROJECT CO-ORDINATORS - 5

Program: Digital & Financial Empowerment of Elders
Reports to : State Head
Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate implementation of Project across the State
Work closely with Senior Citizens Associations in the State
Update databank of Senior Citizens Associations in the State
Conducts monthly workshops with senior citizens
Responsible for meeting Monthly Targets
Responsible for Digital & Financial Literacy Training of Elders
Responsible for Training of on-ground Volunteers, if any
Responsible for Preparation of Monthly Reports & Case Stories •(both still & on film)•
Submitting MIS reports, follow up and compilation
Assisting Line Manager & Project Lead on all relevant project related issues
Adheres to timely reporting and submissions
Key Qualifications & Attributes:
Graduate in social work / social sciences / PG in Social Sciences, with at least 3 years of experience
Fluent in written & oral English
Fluent in written & oral local state language
Knowledge of Microsoft Tools - Outlook, Word, Power point & Excel etc.
Knowledge of world wide web & internet usage
Should have excellent communication skills both written as well as oral
Should have good presentation and interactive skills with all stakeholders
Should have hands-on experience of directly doing project implementation at the ground level
Should have good knowledge in project accounts maintenance, budget monitoring and utilisation
