Position Overview: Senior Project Manager

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading diverse software development process teams. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer of product development and the Chief Executive Office - India, UAE & UK. This role will head the project/product development function, providing strategic direction and leadership to an organisation comprising approximately 25 full-time and contingent professionals in India. The candidate should be a dynamic and creative thinker, adept at successfully partnering across various functions. Being metrics-driven, the incumbent will foster a culture of accountability and emphasise performance-based outcomes.

This is a position for an experienced Senior Project Manager in the software and web development space. You need to be a genuine self-starter and someone comfortable working at pace. You will realistically be from a full, end-to-end lifecycle background, working across Discovery, and UAT as well as putting a project live. The projects you will be delivering are a combination of Agile and Waterfall and this could include retro's, sprint refinement and running stand-ups.

• Strong experience of working intensively and at a senior level with businesses.
• Strong experience in business support programme/project delivery and expert knowledge of diagnosing growth needs.
• Expert ability to conduct in-depth and effective diagnostics with clients and to develop and agree on relevant and soundly based action plans to take the clients forward in their growth trajectory.
• Analytical skills and abilities to work with and interpret complex data. Good experience in financial and/or risk management, and a good communicator of complex issues.
• Successful track record of enhancing the reputation of an organisation that has generated tangible benefits for customers and/or service users.
• Experience in successfully working with partners and external bodies to achieve organisational aims and objectives.
• A successful track record of working in and contributing to a performance management culture, supported by effective and efficient management information systems.
• Strong experience in using Customer Relation Manager (CRM) systems.
• Schedule and plan resources and ensure project budgets and project quality stay on track and are fully forecasted
• Identifying, implementing, improving, and documenting work processes and procedures decided together with management and client services
• Perform resource planning and forecasting along with monthly monitoring of utilisation rate and project profitability across your projects and clients
• Ownership of planning tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Asana - ensuring a unified usage/approach across our teams
• Be the bridge between all the teams working on a project and identify the best methodology to apply in each case.
• Liaise between business development, finance, and client service teams to ensure correct documentation, effort, and achievement of projects, correct invoicing, etc
• Work alongside the finance team to identify and track key project-related metrics. Manage project management dashboard / Virtual PMO

WHAT YOU BRING TO US

• 3+ years of professional experience in project management roles
• An independent, analytical, data-driven, well-structured, and solution-oriented work ethic
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, comfortable communicating with high-level internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities and an agile environment. Ability to take initiative, understand deadlines, and carry multiple projects at the same time independently.
• Ability to share information emphatically and concisely across all levels
• A proactive approach and willingness to jump in and get involved where needed
• Proven experience executing change management projects and initiatives
• Excellent Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint) / Office 365 and GSuite skills
• A number of years of experience working as a Software PM, in a software environment
• Full lifecycle software development lifecycle experience: Discovery, UAT and project live
• Strong Agile and Waterfall knowledge
• Ability to run daily stand-ups do retro's and sprint refinement
• Experience with tooling such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Trello, and etc
• Experience across: User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, Project Plans, Wireframes, Technical Specs, Test Plans, Project Reports and Client Action Logs
• Engage with both clients and Account Manager to brief, plan, and deliver work
• Strong stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Must know how to use and manage Slack and slack channels
