The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology and extensive experience managing projects in the public sector. As a Project Manager specializing in e-governance, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and delivery of IT solutions that improve government services and enhance citizen engagement. You will work closely with government agencies, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure the successful execution of e-governance initiatives. Responsibilities: Lead the planning and execution of e-governance projects, including defining project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders to understand their requirements and priorities for digital transformation. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project management best practices. Manage project resources, including internal IT teams, external vendors, and consultants, to ensure successful project delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and user experience designers, to design and implement IT solutions that meet government needs. Ensure compliance with government regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project progress and performance, identify and address issues and risks, and take corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, milestones achieved, and upcoming deliverables. Manage change requests and scope creep, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed. Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in e-governance and IT project management, and provide recommendations for innovation and continuous improvement. Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT project Management field is a must. Qualifications: B- Tech in computer science or IT , or MCA, a MSc IT or CS or MS in software systems Certification in any one of the following PMP, PRINCE, OR SCRUM Master OR CSMOR or CAPMOR Equivalent Skills Required: Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on e-governance or public sector projects. Strong understanding of e-governance principles, policies, and frameworks, including citizen-centric service delivery and digital inclusion. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with government officials, stakeholders, and technical teams. Knowledge of government regulations, compliance requirements, and security standards related to IT projects. Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals. Experience with Agile or other iterative project management methodologies is a plus.
