This is your role:Project Manager External:Project Manager with responsibility for results of external Customer projects of Category C and/or simultaneously multiple Small Projects of comparable total complexity meeting the required standards of Budget/profit, Quality, Project schedule, environmental health & Safety, and ensuring Business success, Customer satisfaction, and professional Stakeholder management.Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering.Experience:
10 years of Project Management experience and preference for candidates handling Govt. Customer projects and experience in AIS / GIS / SAS / SCADA packages.Job Responsibilities: * Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining the scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements for substation projects.
  • Ensure effective execution of substation projects under established plans, EHS standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external vendors, fostering open communication and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and EHS risk assessments to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
  • Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage resources efficiently to achieve project goals within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with human resources and department managers to assemble project teams with the necessary skills and expertise, including EHS specialists.
  • Quality Assurance and EHS Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce EHS protocols, safety measures, and quality assurance processes to ensure that substation projects meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Monitor compliance with EHS regulations throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any environmental or health concerns promptly.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks, including EHS hazards, and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that may impact project success.
  • Proactively assess and manage project risks, making informed decisions to keep projects on track while prioritizing environmental and health considerations.
  • Cost Control:
  • Monitor project budgets, track cost, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising EHS standards or quality.
  • Provide accurate financial forecasts and reports to support decision-making processes, with a specific focus on EHS-related costs.
  • Schedule Management:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met without compromising EHS standards.
  • Implement strategies to address schedule variances and keep projects on time while considering environmental and health factors.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including EHS records, project plans, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Generate comprehensive project reports, with a specific focus on EHS metrics, for management and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Provide strong leadership to the project team, emphasizing a safety-first and EHS-conscious mindset, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their EHS awareness and capabilities.
