ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and implementing data pipelines: You will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient and scalable data pipelines that collect, process, and transform data from various sources to feed into Datadog and Splunk.
• Developing and maintaining data models: You will develop and maintain data models that enable efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of data in Datadog and Splunk. This includes designing data structures, defining data schema, and creating data dictionaries.
• Managing data storage and access: You will be responsible for managing data storage and access in Datadog and Splunk, ensuring that data is securely stored, backed up, and accessible to authorized users.
• Optimizing data performance: You will optimize data performance in Datadog and Splunk by monitoring data ingestion, storage, and retrieval performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations.
• Troubleshooting data issues: You will troubleshoot data issues in Datadog and Splunk, identifying and resolving issues related to data quality, data integrity, and data consistency.
• Collaborating with other teams: You will collaborate with other teams, such as data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to understand their data needs and help them integrate data from Datadog and Splunk into their workflows.
• Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies: You will stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, and recommend new tools and techniques that can improve data quality, efficiency, and scalability in Datadog and Splunk.
• In addition to these core responsibilities, you may also be expected to mentor junior data engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the development of data engineering standards and best practices within your organization.
