Job Purpose:
- Execute assigned engineering projects including Greenfield/Brownfield project within the timelines and allocated budget
- Provide technical expertise in own area to identify options for resolution of problems and assist Sr. Manager in planning, and scheduling of various activities and procurement
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Management :
- Compile engineering details of greenfield projects in coordination with engineering consultant
- Provide inputs for design/selection of equipment, verification of design/specifications
- Assist Sr. Manager in the procurement activity by identification of vendors, obtaining quotations, preparation of technical as well as commercial comparisons and evaluation
- Investigate vendors to ensure the quality of delivered equipment, delivery of equipment and vendors payments on time
- Adhere to finalized scheme/ design and minimize rework in execution ,N Assist in obtaining statutory clearances as per requirement
- Ensure compliance with safety and EHS guidelines while executing the projects.
- Initiate Risk assessment, HAZOP/ FMEA study
- Ensure compliance with the quality system, completion/ updation of documents/ drawings while execution
- Coordinate closely with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with timelines and RFT in project commissioning Engineering Support to Plants.
- Assist the Sr. Manager in providing support to plants and other functions for improvements, solving problems, and implementing engineering standards
- Provide engineering expertise to plants for improvements and problem solving Engineering Standards
- Assist in the preparation, technical review, and finalization of engineering standards
- Assist in the implementation of engineering standards across plants Departmental Administration
- Perform assigned capital expenditure projects, adhere to timelines and minimize budget over-run
- Assist in the preparation of the overhead budget
- Coordinate with other team members to resolve all interfacing-related issues People Management
- Plan goals, review and provide feedback to subordinates
- Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates and recommend the team members for promotion
- Provide training opportunities to subordinates
Qualifications:
Essential :
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering
Desired:
- Any chemical/mechanical/electrical/instrumentation or civil disciplines
Previous Experience:
Essential :
- Minimum 9 years of experience in industry or any project consultancy organization
- Minimum 3 years of experience in case of graduates from premier institutes
Desired:
- Experience in the paint/steel/chemical/petrochemical or paper industry
