Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
• Team Management: Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout all project phases.
• Budget Management: Estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and monitor expenses to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
• Schedule Management: Develop project schedules, establish milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of project milestones and overall project delivery.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contract Administration: Prepare and review contracts, negotiate terms and conditions, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, address client concerns, provide regular project updates, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Health and Safety: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on construction sites, implement safety protocols, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, change orders, and other project-related records, and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues, conflicts, and discrepancies in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in civil engineering or construction.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing civil engineering and construction projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
