Job Description
Job Title : Head ConstructionReports To : Managing DirectorLocation : Coimbatore, Kangayam, OotyHead construction is fully responsible for the overall success and development of any project, leading it from beginning to end.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the architect and construction crew to ensure that each project is feasible.
- Manage job sites for both new construction and remodeling projects
- Create schedules for construction crew and ensure all projects are fully staffed
- Managing a project planning, contracting, execution, and monitoring team;
- Understanding of Structural Design and Civil Engineering
- Ensuring that all necessary equipment is on-site
- Ensuring that budget costs for wages, contractors, materials, and equipment are not exceeded
- Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Deal with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to reach an agreement.
- Prepare and submit project estimates
- Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in remodeling projects (Institutions) preferred 10+ years experience in new construction and in a supervisory capacity
- Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once with no decline in quality
- control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
