You will be working as Project Manager and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Group Lead Project Manager and will be responsible for leading the execution of medium-size projects and ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment (HSE) requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading the project team, defining main guidelines, allocating project task, monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all task and milestones. Providing performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects
  • Defining the project control department, all project plan documents including scope, financial planning, scheduling and risk management plans
  • Ensuring that the project follows best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying and managing project risk and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued along with the project is formally closed out and contractually agreed
  • Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB\'s policies and contractual agreements. Coordinating with supply chain management and successfully procures required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers
  • Supporting supply chain management and supplier negotiation, claims and project changes. Acting as key contact for the customer and an escalation point of project issue. Building and maintaining strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating with all these stakeholders
Your background
  • B.E or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics
  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in project management. Basic domain knowledge of energy Industries and other industrial production processes
  • Experience in handling large scale electrical, instrumentation, automation or telecommunication projects. Knowledge of project planning tool like Primavera or MS project
  • Knowledge of SD and PS Module of SAP. Competence on adaptive DCS panel design, functioning concepts and good knowledge on adaptive execution process
  • Knowledge on Atex, cULus, CSA, CE, IECEx and EX proof products and certifications. Knowledge on conducting type test or temperature test for products projects and Ingress protection, vibration test and type test with certifying bodies
  • Hands on experience in analysis process and traceability. Fair knowledge on product and system import and export processes
  • Ability to drive and participate in all aspects of project management. Strong co-ordination and team building skills. Good communication (Verbal and Writing) skills
