What this job involves:

• Sitting on top of all design projects, you\xe2\x80\x99ll manage and lead design activities and make sure that everything is on track within the appropriate budget.
• To ensure high-quality work, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to collect clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements and fully understand them.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll then build proper design management procedures that match the clients\xe2\x80\x99 every want and need, and closely work together with the design team to stave off any gaps or mix-ups.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll plan and drive report meetings with clients and relevant government authorities.
• Part of your job scope is to drive and manage value engineering\xe2\x80\x94from beginning to end. You\xe2\x80\x99ll make sure that you coordinate with designers to string the design program along with the procurement. In this role, answering questions such as, \xe2\x80\x9cWhich specific hold points need specific client decisions during design development?\xe2\x80\x9d; \xe2\x80\x9cHow can I better manage and keep track of design changes?\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cWhat can I do to ensure smooth handover?\xe2\x80\x9d will help you develop and implement a sound game plan.
• In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be able to face tough design challenges head on.
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll need to work out a practical design and match master schedules that work. You will keep an eye on the design team\xe2\x80\x99s performance and make sure that they\xe2\x80\x99re up to speed toward successful project completion. On top of these, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for spotting delay risks and warning the project manager in advance, so you both can find a way to set things in order

Technical Criteria :

• You have a degree in architectural, civil engineering, MEP engineering, or related discipline or field, or a mix of formal education and work experience of more than 10 years spent on design, construction or project management.
• You should also be well-versed in design management.
• PMC experience is preferred
• Engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders and see things from their perspective.
• Are driven to succeed and love achieving challenging goals.
• Bring a structured and organised approach to everything they do.
• Communicate and collaborate to achieve success.
• Thrive under pressure and deal effectively with tight deadlines and high expectations.
