Knowledge of electrical systems, grid integration, and regulatory considerations. Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards in the solar energy sector. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Effective communication and attention to detail. Role Requirements Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate cost estimates for solar projects. Utilize project estimation tools and financial models to assess project viability. Analyze project requirements, scope, and technical specifications. Estimate material, labor, equipment, and other costs for solar installations. Collaborate with procurement teams to gather pricing and supplier information. Consider environmental, safety, and quality factors in project cost estimates. Provide cost input for project proposals, bids, and tender submissions. Evaluate project risks and uncertainties that may impact cost estimates. Support the preparation of detailed project budgets and financial plans. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate technical input for estimates. Review and verify estimates for accuracy and consistency. Maintain documentation related to cost estimates and assumptions. Assist in the analysis of project costs against budgeted amounts. Stay informed about industry pricing trends, material costs, and labor rates. Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with permitting requirements. Support the development of procurement strategies and cost-saving initiatives. Adapt estimates based on changing project scopes and constraints.
