Description General information: Design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Based on technical specification from end customers and inputs from LPG Engineering team, prepare substation layouts, sections, Bill of materials, RFQs, vetting of vendor offers, engg hours estimation, visit to project sites, technical risk assessment and opportunity evaluation etc. Also involve in project detail engineering, perform engineering calculations, erection key diagram, detailed BOQ for erection, cable engineering etc. Coordinate with Engineering Manager, Engineering Leads, Tendering team, Project managers, SCM, Secondary and civil / steel design functions, consultants, end customers etc and provide required support in each Project / Tender. Responsibilities: Preparation of all Primary Engineering Deliverables. Experience in handling complete Engineering deliverables for AIS & GIS projects, Exposure to International experience & Standards IEC, IEEE & AS Substation layouts and section drawings preparation for budgetary offers / tenders / projects based on customer specification Basic understanding of secondary design aspects of substations, such as CT VT Sizing, Cable sizing, Protection & Control schemes, LVAC / LVDC supplies, Interlocking, Telecommunication, etc is an added advantage Prepare, review and validate Bill of material for tenders or projects based on requirement Responsible for all design calculations related to Primary Engineering Grounding system design, drawings and Bill of Materials Lightning system design, drawings and BoM Lighting system design and BoM Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment. Knowledge of primary equipment, such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc Providing optimized and customized solutions for various substation tenders (AIS, GIS, Hybrid) . Estimation of engineering effort for each project for costing at tender stage Innovative ideas to reduce Engineering effort Plan, implement, review and continuously improvise quality system Responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective tenders and projects as per quality process. Your background: Bachelors Engineering in Electrical Should have minimum 7+ years exp in substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical & commercial). Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC etc.
