Job Title: Project Engineer - Installation & Commissioning

Job Summary

The Project Engineer - Installation & Commissioning is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of commissioning and installation projects for new systems, equipment, or facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion within scope, time, and budget.

Key responsibilities

1.Project Planning and Coordination

• Develop detailed project plans including schedules, resources, and budget estimates.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to align project objectives and deliverables.
• Prepare and review engineering specifications, drawings, and other documents.

2.Commissioning

• Oversee the commissioning of equipment and systems, ensuring that they operate as intended and meet performance criteria.
• Conduct functional and performance tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• Prepare commissioning reports and documentation.

3.Installation

• Manage the installation of equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Supervise installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
• Verify that installations comply with industry standards and regulations.

4.Quality Assurance

• Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet technical and regulatory standards.
• Perform inspections and audits during commissioning and installation phases.
• Address and resolve non-conformance issues promptly.

5.Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, schedules, test results, and as-built drawings.
• Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Develop operation and maintenance manuals for commissioned systems.

6.Client and Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the commissioning and installation phases.
• Communicate project status, issues, and resolutions effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing technical support as needed.

7.Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all commissioning and installation activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

8.Team Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with design, engineering, and operations teams to integrate commissioning and installation activities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Up to 2 years of experience in commissioning, installation, or related engineering roles.



• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.



• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Project Engineers

1.Project Delivery and Timeliness

• Percentage of projects completed within the agreed timeframe.

2.Time to Commission

• The total time taken to commission a system or equipment from the start of the commissioning phase.

3. Cost Management

• Budget Adherence: Measures the extent to which projects are completed within the allocated budget.
• Cost of Rework: Measures the cost associated with rework or corrections after initial commissioning.

4.Customer Satisfaction

• Client Feedback Score: Measures client satisfaction with the installation and commissioning process based on feedback surveys.
• Net Promoter Score (NPS):Measures the likelihood of clients recommending the services based on their experience.

5.Operational Efficiency

• Resource Utilization: Measures the efficient use of resources such as tools, equipment, and manpower during projects.

6. Team Collaboration & Communication

• Communication Effectiveness: Measures the effectiveness of communication with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Issue Resolution Time: Measures the average time taken to resolve issues that arise during installation and commissioning.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?216,000.00 - ?240,000.00 per year
