Role Summary/Purpose:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the discipline engineers including, mechanical, electrical, process, and controls engineers during the Proposal / Bid Engineering phase.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Perform as the Technical Bid Manager to plan and formulate Bid Engineering Deliverables on water Industry Process and Products. Knowledge on O&G, Power, Petro chemical Industry will be added advantage.

2. Able to review Tender specifications, Engineering design standards, Export Control, safety and customer contract requirements.

3. Able to develop Engineering deliverables such as PFD, PID, Layout, GA`s, PMS, VMS, Piping, Isometric drawings, spool & Pipe Support drawings.

4. Able to perform Pressure vessel, Tanks & Piping design, hydraulic calculations and Pump head calculations.

5. Able to participate in global design reviews / participate and lead Hazop /SIL. Reviews. Able to interface with customer\'s technical representatives and/or the Suez in country local Lead Project Engineer or Proposal Manager

6. Able to prepare RFQ packages, review vendor quotes and approve documents for manufacturing

7. Knowledge on Design tools, International codes and standards - ASME, DIN, EN, IS, BS, AS etc.,

8. Sound knowledge on Materials / Metallurgy on metallic and nonmetallic Pumps, valves, Equipments, pipes and fittings

9. Has basic knowledge on Electrical, Instrumentation and control systems applicable for water and waste water Schemes and Products and able to understand the interface between Mechanical and these systems.

10. Working knowledge on ACAD, Solidworks, Navisworks and PDMS

11. Assist local / global Proposal Engineers / Sales team for the Bid Engineering deliverables.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline

2. Minimum of 8-10 years of Proposal / Tender Engineering experience/10 years of engineering experience.

3. Experience / Exposure to Regional / International projects related to water and waste water.

4. Demonstrated ownership and collaboration with team(s) to deliver business results.

5. Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.

6. Ability to occasionally travel regionally and internationally.
