Job Description

Job Title: Project coordinator

Location: Madhapur, Hyderabad

Reports To: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Management

• Oversee all interior construction and renovation activities on the job site, ensuring work aligns with design specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and labourers involved in the interior work (e.g., carpenters, painters, electricians, flooring installers).
• Monitor work progress to ensure that tasks are completed on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with design plans.
• Ensure that interior construction or renovation is done to a high standard of quality, with attention to detail and adherence to design elements.

2. Quality Control and Inspection

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work complies with the project's design, quality, and safety standards.
• Check the accuracy of interior finishes such as paint, wall coverings, flooring, tiling, joinery, and lighting installation.
• Ensure that all work meets local building codes and safety regulations.
• Identify and address any issues, defects, or discrepancies in design or workmanship promptly.

3. Health & Safety Compliance

• Enforce health and safety standards specific to interior construction and renovation work.
• Conduct safety briefings for the workers and ensure they are using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols.
• Identify potential hazards related to interior work (e.g., dust, noise, power tools) and take appropriate preventive measures.
• Report and investigate accidents or unsafe practices to ensure the work environment remains safe for all involved.

4. Material Management

• Oversee the procurement, delivery, and storage of materials required for interior finishes, such as paint, flooring, cabinetry, lighting fixtures, and hardware.
• Ensure materials are used efficiently and that there is minimal waste.
• Inspect the materials upon delivery to ensure they are correct, undamaged, and in line with project specifications.
• Track material usage and ensure proper inventory control to avoid shortages or delays.

5. Team Coordination and Supervision

• Supervise and manage subcontractors and on-site labor, including carpenters, painters, electricians, and other tradespeople.
• Assign tasks and ensure workers understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Motivate workers to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Provide guidance and support to the crew, helping them solve any issues that arise on-site.

6. Communication & Reporting

• Act as the primary point of contact between the site team and the project manager or interior designer.
• Communicate any changes or issues on-site to the project manager or relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare regular reports on the progress of interior work, including updates on timelines, materials, labor, and any challenges faced.
• Attend project meetings to provide updates on the status of the interior phase of the project and to discuss potential issues or delays.

7. Scheduling and Budgeting

• Develop and manage a work schedule for the interior construction activities, ensuring tasks are completed in a logical sequence to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries of materials, ensuring everything arrives on time for installation.
• Work closely with the project manager to ensure the interior work stays within the allocated budget and that any cost overruns are addressed.

8. Problem Solving

• Resolve issues that may arise during the project, such as delays, design changes, or unforeseen complications.
• Troubleshoot problems related to installation, material shortages, or labor issues.
• Work with the project manager and other team members to find solutions and maintain the project's progress.

• Safety Awareness: Deep knowledge of safety protocols, especially related to interior construction (e.g., electrical work, working at heights, etc.).
• Communication: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with both on-site workers and project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required). A degree or certification in construction management, interior design, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction or interior finishing, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with construction and interior design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project) can be an advantage.

Salary : 20,000-25,000 per month

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
