Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of the agriculture-Nutrition Convergence intervention in Harichandanpur. This intervention aims to integrate agricultural production with nutritional delivery in public programs to enhance nutritional outcomes, support local agriculture, and promote economic empowerment. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project activities, and ensuring the alignment of project objectives with ground-level execution.
Key Responsibilities:
•Project Coordination and Management: •
• Oversee day-to-day project activities to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinate with district and block-level officials, FPCs, Anganwadi workers, and school headmasters to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Facilitate communication between various stakeholders including government departments, NGOs, and local communities.
•Stakeholder Engagement: •
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and district administration.
• Facilitate training sessions for FPCs, school and Anganwadi staff, and other stakeholders to enhance their capacities and ensure effective project execution.
•Monitoring and Evaluation: •
• Implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track project progress and impact.
• Utilise technology solutions for data management, performance analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with project guidelines and standards through regular site visits and audits.
•Data Management and Reporting: •
• Collect, analyse, and report data related to project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports related to project progress to various stakeholders.
•Financial Management: •
• Assist in budget planning and financial management for the project.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure financial accountability in all project activities.
•Behavioural Change Communication & IEC: •
• Disseminate Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials tailored for various stakeholders.
• Promote behavioural change through strategic communication initiatives targeting school staff, Anganwadi workers, and community members.
Essential Qualifications:
•Education: • Master's degree in Rural Management, Agri Business Management, Nutrition and Public Health, Development Studies, Public Policy, or related fields from an institution of national repute.
•Experience: • At least 5 year of overall work experience out of which minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience working with government or social impact project implementation.
•Skills •:
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with local agricultural practices and public nutrition programs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred selection criteria:
• Experience working with government departments and local communities.
• Knowledge of the Odia language and local context of Harichandanpur/ Keonjhar
• Previous experience in capacity building and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
