Indian Cancer Society (ICS) was established by Dr. D.J. Jussawalla and Mr. Naval Tata in 1951. It is India's first voluntary, non-profit, National Organization for Awareness, Detection, Cure and Survivorship of those affected with cancer. ICS is involved in creating awareness on cancers of breast, oral cavity and cervix all over India. ICS provides an opportunity to all especially underprivileged population for early detection of cancer through cancer detection centres and mobile cancer detection camps. We support poor cancer patients for treatment cost, rehabilitation, and survivor support groups. ICS is the only NGO to run a population based cancer registry in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad. About project Satark:
ICS is hiring for the position of Program Coordinators (PC) based in Karnataka, with frequent travel to Koppal, Gadag and Bellary intervention districts.
We are starting project called oral, breast and cervical Cancer Awareness and Prevention Program (OCAP) in state of Karnataka.

Program Coordinators (PC) will be responsible to coordinate all the project activities and events in all the urban towns of three selected districts.
Job Expectation / Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall implementation of the project in their designated districts.
Coordinate and fulfil all alignment and approvals with State health Dept ( NCD). And also regular update and reporting with all PHC heads as well.
Coordinating and conducting on ground events (Master training / ToT / awareness sessions / meetings / demand generation / training / CMEs / communication etc)
Closely working with Front line community health workers (FLCHWs) to implement the program for awareness.
Manage daily, weekly and monthly reporting with FLCHWs, PHCs and all project locations.
Ensure branding and IEC material is made available and being used effectively.
Preparing budgets / reports on the progress of the project; develop & implement Work Plans, quarterly and annual reports and M&E reports.
Collect monthly data from various partners in the specified formats, compile it and share with ICS, NHQ on monthly basis.
Conduct visits to intervention districts as per need and ensure implementation of the program activities and timely and complete monthly data reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to achieve program goal.
Extensive and frequent travelling required.
Work from home as and when required.
Identification of local partners (NGO/CBO/school/college/ industry unit/ community/ institutes/hospitals) for creating cancer awareness by holding sessions.
Identification of local cancer screening centers (SC) and feeding the data back to HQ for regular reporting on screening and also used for informing nearest SC to their location.
Approach and Coordinate with district and block health officials to promote implementation of awareness program in the field.
Essential:
Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or Public Health with minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the public health sector, preferably managing community led public health program.
Other Skills:
She / He should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language and English.
Experience in working with public health / cancer awareness projects and knowledge of health and training issues desired.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
Attentive to details and able to produce documents and coordinate activities with minimum supervision to a professional quality.
Candidate should be proficient in the use of computers / laptops.
Previous experience of working in the state is desirable. Local candidate will be preferred. Project and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Language requirement:
Kannada, English and Hindi (Optional).
Salary is negotiable.
