Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications for the position of

Project Co-ordinator

to workat the New-born Hearing Assessment Centre (Dhwani project) based


in Govt. Lady Goshcen Hospital, Mangalore under the Suhas Gopal Pai - MAHE Endowment at the


Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore.

Qualification:

Any Bachelors / Masters degree with a good


academic track record and computer skills. Preference will be given


to those with MSW qualification. Candidate should be able to speak


English, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani and Malayalam and have a pleasing


and empathetic personality.

The project co-ordinator ensures that all babies


born in Lady Goshen Hospital are tested twice before being


discharged from the hospital. All records and data relating to testing


are maintained by the project co-ordinator. She also ensures that


there is a continuous supply of consumables for the screening room


so that the services of the NHSR are not held up due to a lack in


consumables. She also establishes a rapport with the family, so that


in the event that re-testing is required, the families respond to her


entreaties to bring the babies back. In all her services she will be


assisted ably by the staff of Audiology, Otorhinolaryngology and


Paediatrics.
