We solve the waste management crisis of the Indian Himalayan Region. Our work lies at the intersection of Climate Change, Biodiversity Habitat Conservation, and Informal livelihoods. With a team of 200+ Warriors spread across various locations nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, we strive to create effective waste management solutions across urban and rural landscapes, with a special focus on eco-sensitive and tourist areas. Position Brief

We are looking for a highly driven and dynamic individual who is passionate about working in the waste management sector and eager to work with local governments and communities to create an impact. This role is a unique opportunity for you to get exposure to direct field-related work, manage teams in some cases, and also get involved in task management-related activities! If fieldwork & office work both excite you, then you are the one we're looking for!

A Project Associate will be responsible for providing on-ground technical and coordination support for the implementation of our ongoing projects in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. This individual will be closely working with multiple stakeholders, executing project deliverables in line with the long-term strategy and in collaboration with multiple team members. Primary Responsibilities for the position • Proactively provide project management support including monitoring timelines, invoices, and deliverables to help ensure responsibilities to funders are met in assigned program areas and timely corrective action is taken to resolve problems
• Spend time on-field with our community mobilizers to build deep relationships with local stakeholders.
• Develop plans, and strategies & execute them for engagement with multiple stakeholders to meet the project objectives
• Conduct analysis, prepare, and contribute to reports and other related project materials for compliance purposes.
• Design, implement, and maintain databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
• Contribute to in-depth primary and secondary research on waste management initiatives
• Co-lead project-related workshops and sessions with different stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned and in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines

Key Skills & Attributes • Knowledge of MS Excel, Google apps (Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Slides, Drive)
• Extensive fieldwork, and balancing office work (prior experience of both will be preferred)
• Physical and mental resilience to work in difficult terrain
• Natural ability to build strong relationships
• Good record-keeping skills with attention to detail
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
• Excellent Interpersonal skills and a great team player,
• Able to manage own workload and make decisions
