Purpose of the Role

The Project Accountant involves finalizing checks and purchase orders, ensuring accurate

financial transac?ons and compliance. Project Accountant will prepare and verify running

account bills (RA Bills), analyze project costs to stay within budget, and manage inventory to

maintain necessary supplies without excess. Addi?onally, Project Accountant will handle

project-wise cash flows, ensuring funds are available for obliga?ons and financial resources

are used efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining financial control and efficiency in

project execu?on.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Finalizes Checks and Purchase Orders: Ensuring that all financial transac?ons related to

the project are accurate and compliant with internal policies and external regula?ons.

RA Bills (Running Account Bills): Preparing, verifying, and finalizing running account bills

which track the ongoing costs incurred by the project.

Analyzing Costs: Monitoring and analyzing the costs associated with the project to ensure

they remain within budget.

Managing Inventory: Overseeing the project inventory to ensure that materials and

supplies are available as needed without excessive surplus.

Purchases: Invoice checking, verifica?on of receipts on site, bookkeeping, and maintaining

stock lists for branches and construc?on sites.

Prepara?on of Receivables : Handling the prepara?on and tracking of receivables to ensure

?mely and accurate collec?on of funds.

Project-wise Cash Flows: Managing and forecas?ng the cash flow for each project to

ensure that funds are available to meet obliga?ons and that financial resources are used

efficiently.

Skills Required for the Role

Experience: Proven experience in project accoun?ng or similar role.

Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial principles, accoun?ng standards, and

budge?ng.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Excel, competence in using accoun?ng so?ware,

spreadsheets, and financial management tools.

Analy?cal Skills: Ability to analyze costs, financial data, and project budgets to ensure

efficient use of resources.

A?en?on to Detail: Accuracy in financial transac?ons, invoice checking, and bookkeeping.

Organiza?onal Skills: Efficient management of inventory, stock lists, and project

documenta?on.

Communica?on Skills : Clear communica?on with project teams, suppliers, and

stakeholders regarding financial ma?ers.

Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to iden?fy and resolve financial discrepancies and

inefficiencies.

Time Management: Ability to handle mul?ple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic

project environment.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with internal policies and external regula?ons related to

financial transac?ons and compliance.

Forecas?ng Skills: Proficiency in managing and predic?ng project-wise cash flows to ensure

financial stability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?22,000.00 - ?32,000.00 per month
