Progressive Tool Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Progressive Tool Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of progressive tools, press tools, fixtures, and jigs for our manufacturing processes in the metal stamping and forming industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing a wide range of tools and possess a strong understanding of tooling design principles and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop progressive tools, press tools, fixtures, and jigs for metal stamping and forming processes, considering factors such as material flow, part complexity, and production efficiency.

Utilize CAD software to create detailed tool designs and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and precision in tooling components and fixture geometry.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, production, and quality assurance to ensure tool designs and fixtures meet production requirements and quality standards.

Conduct simulations and analyses to validate tool designs and fixture functionality, optimizing performance and ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing processes.

Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during the implementation of tooling, fixtures, and jigs, troubleshooting and refining designs as necessary.

Stay current with industry trends and advancements in tooling and fixture technologies, incorporating innovative solutions into the design process to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Proven experience in progressive tool design, press tools, fixture, and jig design within the metal stamping and forming industry.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., Finite Element Analysis).

Strong understanding of tooling materials, manufacturing processes, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience in designing and developing fixtures and jigs for manufacturing processes, with a focus on precision and repeatability.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
