FLN is one of the newest strategic initiatives of Reliance Foundation (RF), and as part of the new programme, all team members will play a key role in establishing, strengthening and expanding the programme across states through multiple partnerships. The programme is a first-of-its-kind collaborative effort aligned with the Government of Indias NIPUN Bharat Mission to achieve FLN goals for all children in India.The programme aims to support solutions seeking to provide access to affordable and quality learning solutions for low-income segments. It will also help organisations innovate to address challenges, and build evidence on learning outcomes, benchmarks and cost effectiveness, thereby supporting the education ecosystem to improve access to quality education at scale.The Programme Lead for FLN will work closely with implementing partners and the Head-RF Education to monitor the progress of the programme, design other new FLN related initiatives and ensure effective coordination between different internal and external stakeholders for the programme.Roles & Responsibility and Outcomes (KPI)Roles & ResponsibilityOutcomes (KPIs)Indicative; to be finalized with team member as per annual operational plan

  • Compliance: Tracking outputs delivered by partners and corresponding financial expenditure
Operations (30%)
  • Maintain project management tracker for key initiatives, identify gaps in delivery and highlight to Head - Education.
  • Coordinate with strategic partner and field implementation partners to resolve operational issues.
  • Visit the field to assess quality of implementation, provide inputs for improvement and support programme activities regularly.
  • Maintain MIS for all programme activities, outputs and periodicity and timelines
MIS: Timely and accurate reporting, as per agreed
  • Coordinate with strategic partners, field implementation partners and M&E teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Reporting (25%)
  • Support Head-Education to prepare presentations, documentation
  • Partner engagement: Timely and accurate
Partnerships (25%)
  • Identify common issues, trends across states and outliers, and highlight to Head-Education.
  • Document partnership discussions and follow-up for action points.
  • Coordinate with partners, state team and other internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance team) to ensure partnership documents (MoUs, reports) are prepared on time.
  • Provide feedback on reports and budget variance analysis.
Other activities (20%)
  • Programme design - Provide inputs on key initiatives, by identifying best practices, research for new ideas, technology etc.
  • Documentation and analysis - Support Head in preparation of annual work plans, budgets, financial projections, programme updates, presentations etc.
  • Plan and organize events, workshops and project visits for internal or external groups, as required.
  • Any other responsibilities, as per programme and organizational requirements, as assigned by line manager.

Experience & Educational RequirementsEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Necessary:
  • Post Graduate Degree in education / social work / social science / rural management / any relevant field
Desirable:
  • Qualification in Education, social financing or related fields
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Necessary
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Sound understanding of FLN practices, programmes and policies
  • Experience of managing partnerships and/or working with field implementation NGOs and Government stakeholders at the state level
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Hindi may be an advantage
  • Excellent documentation, analysis and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Working knowledge of project management frameworks and tools, Gantt charts etc.
  • Demonstrates high levels of empathy, understanding challenges of stakeholders, listening actively and working in a participatory manner.
  • Demonstrates creativity in her/his work, responding flexibly to a changing field situation and devising innovative ways of solving challenges.
Desirable
  • Working knowledge of Tableau and other presentation tools
