About the position

PATH is seeking Program Officer position for implementation and roll out of the supply chain strengthening project under TIS vertical. The PO will work with the national and state teams to provide technical assistance and hand-holding support for strengthening supply chain across intervention geographies.

Responsibilities
  • Support in designing, planning, integrating, and implementing supply chain strengthening activities across intervention
  • Work closely with national and state teams to develop, implement, and monitor state-specific project activities including the development of roadmaps, work plans, activities, reports,
  • Support in assessment of \xe2\x80\x98As-Is\xe2\x80\x99 supply chain systems for drugs, diagnostics, commodities at primary healthcare level, in selected intervention states
  • Support in designing \xe2\x80\x98To-be\xe2\x80\x99 supply chain model to address the gaps and needs in supply chain management in the value chain of primary healthcare system
  • Coordinate with private sector partners, intervention states on day-to-day basis to track the progress and roll out of activities in line with approved work plan/proposal.
  • Facilitate in development of various technical resources, project documents and reports.
  • Facilitate development of resource materials including SoPs, template, assessment tools etc.to build supply chain processes in the intervention states.
  • Support in development of training resource materials for capacity building of external and internal stakeholders on supply chain management in health sector
  • Scout for innovative solutions in addressing the supply chain management for drugs and commodities within the Indian health care system and pilot test these innovations in selected geographies.
  • Work closely with various team members of the Technology, Innovation, and System strengthening teams as well as the project teams for the integration and implementation of the given projects in a timely manner.
  • Assist the program lead in the coordination and execution of the program partnership and related program
  • Support the team in coordinating the project management process internally within PATH & external
  • Undertake other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the national or state
  • Available to travel to states up to 20-30% of the time.
Required Experience
  • Master/ PG degree in Public Health or Health Management/ Supply Chain Management/ Logistics management
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the public health sector focusing on planning and implementation of public health programs and research.
  • Experience in health supply chain management or providing technical assistance/consulting for public health supply chains at national/state level is desirable.
  • Previous experience/ Demonstrated expertise in a similar role would be preferred for this position.
  • Familiarity with the Indian public health system, newer initiatives in health sector and relevant government policies/ strategies particularly National Health Mission, and Ayushman Bharat
  • Technical knowledge and field experience in planning and implementation of public health programs.
  • Experience with INGOs in the health sector and/ or Ministries of Health, and the government is preferable.
Skills/ Abilities
  • Self-starter and committed to performing their duties with a high degree of autonomy and independence in line with project goals and objectives.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and
  • Direct experience in independently liaising with government health functionaries, district-level administrators, and other development
  • Data analysis, data visualization, and analytical thinking skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate in a matrix organizational
  • Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Web surfing to search relevant data &
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments under the pressure of deadlines.
Must have legal authorization to work in India.
