Summary:


The Department of Chemistry, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, is seeking applications from passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individuals for the post of Executive for admission and chemistry outreach. If you have a strong background in handling events, have excellent communication skills, and a knack for engaging with students, you are encouraged to . The executive will have department day-to-day related responsibilities and facilitate department activities throughout the year. The hired person needs to work closely with the HoD for the department-related work and liaise with the admission, media, and advertising teams from the department's end.


Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) :


• Provide guidance and support to prospective students throughout the admissions process in coordination with the admission team.
• Plan and coordinate chemistry outreach programs and activities to promote interest in chemistry among high school and college students in collaboration with the admissions team. Develop engaging and educational content for workshops, demonstrations, and events. Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and industry partners.
• Facilitate activities at department events, open days, school visits, etc., in association with the outreach team.
• Maintain database of applications and assist in conducting initial screening for the selection process, liaising with the admission team/department/prospective candidates.
• Send invites for the events, coordinate, and assist in making necessary arrangements.
• Maintain the student database, including alumni, and coordinate with the career development centre.
• Maintain the Department website in coordination with the media team. Design websites, PowerPoint presentations, etc., as needed. Handle department news on X, Facebook, and LinkedIn under the guidance of the Head. Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the visibility and impact of the chemistry department on social media.


Requirements:


• Postgraduate degree
• Any experience in coordination in team related to admissions, or outreach activities will be given preference.
• Education degree in sciences, esp. chemistry is a plus point
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for education and promoting the field of chemistry.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint is highly preferred.
