Program Lead- Punjab About the Role: The Program Lead will spearhead the education reforms with the Govt of Punjab. They will be responsible for the program\xe2\x80\x99s design, execution, coordination with various stakeholders (government and non-profit partners), and delivering on a roadmap for building government capacity to sustain the impact and interventions from the program. Determine primary work areas and priorities crucial for achieving project objectives and formulate evidence-based solutions to tackle them.
Enhance the strategy of the State Department, and external partners through independent research and analysis.
Create a practical implementation plan that includes a well-defined timeline, budget objectives, and allocation of responsibilities among TEA team members.
Establish a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework that outlines distinct performance indicators, targets, and milestones.
Stakeholder management
Act as an interface between key stakeholders, including Government officials, TEA, program partners, and other implementation partners
Develop strong working relationships with the state officials and assume leadership on these relationships to build a work plan for creating and building system capacity for change
Conduct periodic update meetings/check-ins with stakeholders to communicate program progress
On-ground implementation and monitoring
Oversee and guide Consultants/partner organisations in executing the program strategy
Coordinate with implementation partners (government officials, external partners\xe2\x80\x99 teams, NGOs etc.) to deliver on program objectives
Enable implementation partners, including government officials, to meet outcome, budget, and timeline targets.
Ensure availability, timely deployment, and efficient utilization of resources
Identify operational bottlenecks and weaknesses, and devise work-around strategies
Track program progress on key indicators according to the M&E framework
Ensure high-quality documents (reports, presentations, proposals, etc.) prepared by the team
TEA team management and capacity building
Supervise and monitor the daily performance of all consortium team members within the system
Facilitate the transfer of knowledge from external partners to the TEA team, enhancing their institutional knowledge and capabilities
Comprehend crucial strategic elements, including successful programs and methods to scale interventions, monitor program outcomes, enhance governance structures, and maintain government relations
Combine best practices and program insights to reinforce TEA\xe2\x80\x99s institutional knowledge and support thought leadership initiatives
Assist in managing grants by preparing proposals, donor reports, concept notes, etc.
Represent TEA in key forums, such as state, regional, and national meetings and conferences
Offer effective mentoring to consortium team members to foster their skills and competencies.
Skills and Qualifications
Preferred work experience of 6+ years
Experience with project management and people management is necessary and crucial for the role
Experiences working with government and in the education sector are desirable, though not necessary
Fluency in both English and Hindi required
