The successful candidate will be expected to create and deliver engaging and innovative instruction in mathematics education to undergraduate and graduate students. The Professor will also be expected to engage in research and publish their work in reputable academic journals, as well as provide leadership in the field of pedagogy of mathematics through professional service activities. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Mathematics Education or a related field A minimum of 5 years of experience teaching and conducting research in pedagogy of mathematics Strong teaching and communication skills A record of publications in the field of pedagogy of mathematics Experience in leading professional service activities in mathematics education Responsibilities: Teaching and delivering course content in mathematics education to undergraduate and graduate students Developing and revising course materials, syllabi, and assessments in accordance with best practices in pedagogy of mathematics Conducting and publishing original research in mathematics education and contributing to the advancement of the field Mentoring and advising students in their academic and professional development Engaging in service activities related to mathematics education, such as serving on committees and presenting at conferences Collaborating with colleagues within and outside of the department to develop interdisciplinary programs and initiatives Participating in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives Maintaining currency in the field of pedagogy of mathematics through ongoing professional development and continuing education Fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities.
