Job Title Professional, Quality Assurance Engineering Job Title : Mainframe QA Engineer What does a successful Mainframe QA Engineer do at Fiserv The Mainframe QA Engineer will test and spot issues or discrepancies in quality standards set for the product. He/She will work with Product Owner, Solution Architect, Business Analyst, Delivery team members in Scrum team to ensure application aligns with the quality standards and will perform functional & regression testing in batch. Roughly 80% code testing and 20% batch monitoring support. Balances and prioritizes project work efficiently. Sets high standards of code quality. What you will do : Participate in daily/weekly stand ups, functional testing & regression testing, and DT walkthroughs. Adhere to platform architecture and best practices. Work with scrum team in developing the sprint plan. Complete assigned Testing and Support tasks within the sprint timeline and with high quality. Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotation assignment. What you will need to have : BE/BTech/ M.sc (CS)/MCA Should have a minimum of 3-5 years\' experience in mainframe testing and/or development. Should have experience in CICS, MVS, JCL, VSAM, REXX, PL/1, DB2/SQL Should have good communication skills. Capability to work in a distributed team environment with minimal supervision. Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of programming requirements based on project schedules. Required to work directly with SQA teams to provide support and defect resolution. Required to provide off hours coverage to support production of assigned systems solving system and application problems on need basis. Required to escalate any issues or problems that could affect the project deliverables or project schedule. Good to Have : Provide analysis, research, deriving & executing the test plan to the Fiserv Payment processing platform. Required to work with the Development team during the technical analysis, design, and build process. Knowledge about agile process & automation testing are advantage.
