Job Description

We are hiring Production Supervisor in a manufacturing company is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily production operations within the manufacturing plant. This includes supervising production staff, ensuring the timely production of quality products, maintaining equipment, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires leadership, technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to problem-solve quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Supervision & Leadership:

Lead and Manage Team: Supervise and direct production workers to ensure that manufacturing goals are met efficiently and on time.

Training & Development: Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and ongoing development opportunities to staff to improve performance, skills, and safety awareness.

Motivation & Support: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by motivating the team, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts.

2. Production Planning & Scheduling:

Develop Production Schedules: Create, monitor, and adjust production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products.

Resource Allocation: Assign tasks based on available resources (materials, machinery, labor), ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.

Monitor Workloads: Ensure work is distributed evenly among team members, adjusting assignments as necessary to meet production targets.

3. Quality Control & Assurance:

Monitor Quality Standards: Ensure all manufactured products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.

Inspection & Testing: Oversee inspections, tests, and quality checks, addressing any issues or defects that arise during production.

Problem-Solving: Resolve any quality-related issues in a timely manner, coordinating with quality control teams and taking corrective actions when needed.

4. Machine & Equipment Management:

Monitor Equipment Performance: Ensure all machinery and equipment are in good working order, performing regular checks and assisting in preventive maintenance.

Troubleshoot Issues: Quickly identify and resolve any machinery or production line issues to minimize downtime.

Coordinate Maintenance: Work closely with maintenance teams to schedule downtime for repairs and preventive maintenance without affecting production schedules.

5. Safety & Compliance:

Enforce Safety Protocols: Ensure that all employees follow company safety procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA standards).

Conduct Safety Audits: Perform regular safety audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents or safety incidents, identify causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Promote Safety Culture: Conduct safety training, ensuring that the team understands safe operating practices and encourages vigilance.

6. Production Monitoring & Reporting:

Track Production Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production volume, efficiency, quality, waste, and downtime.

Daily Reporting: Report production progress to upper management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Data-Driven Decisions: Use production data to identify trends, solve production issues, and recommend process improvements.

7. Process Improvement & Optimization:

Analyze Processes: Continuously assess and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and waste reduction.

8. Inventory & Material Management:

Oversee Material Usage: Ensure raw materials and parts are used efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring that materials are available when needed.

Coordinate with Supply Chain: Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and reduce the risk of production delays.

9. Cost Control:

Manage Production Costs: Monitor production costs and work to optimize material, labor, and overhead expenses.

Implement Efficiency Measures: Identify areas to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.

Budget Adherence: Ensure that production operates within the allocated budget and take action if any budgetary concerns arise.

10. Employee Performance & Development:

Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance evaluations of production staff and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

Goal Setting: Set clear goals and expectations for team members, ensuring they align with company objectives.

Conflict Resolution: Address employee issues or conflicts in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
