The Bakery production manager takes charge of the day-to-day production of baked goods, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency:
• Production planning - Develops daily and weekly production plans based on sales, staffing, and previous performance
• Quality control - Ensures products are made to recipes and quality standards, and conducts regular quality checks
• Inventory management - Manages inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
• Staff management - Trains, mentors, and evaluates staff, and ensures they are properly trained and developed
• Safety and sanitation - Maintains a clean and safe work environment by enforcing health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Communication - Communicates with sales and other departments to ensure high quality products and excellent customer service
• Production reporting - Prepares reports on production metrics, staff performance, and inventory levels
