Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the production floor, ensuring that production schedules are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. The role involves managing a team of operators, maintaining production flow, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Production Operations:

Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure efficient and on-time production.

Monitor workflow, production schedules, and deadlines to ensure goals are achieved.

Coordinate with different departments (e.g., maintenance, quality control) to ensure smooth production processes.

Team Leadership:

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production workers, machine operators, and other staff.

Provide training and development to team members to enhance skills and improve performance.

Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Ensure all production processes adhere to quality standards and company policies.

Perform regular inspections and quality checks to minimize defects and ensure product consistency.

Work closely with the Quality Control team to resolve any quality issues.

Safety and Health:

Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and address hazards.

Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

Identify and resolve production issues, machine breakdowns, or delays promptly.

Work with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.

Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.

Production Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and maintain production reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, efficiency, downtime, and scrap rates.

Document any changes, improvements, and issues during production processes.

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.

Suggest and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.

Knowledge of production equipment, processes, and quality control methods.

Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to address operational challenges.

Proficient in using production management software, ERP systems, or Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

May require standing, walking, or lifting for extended periods.

Shift work may be required, including evenings and weekends, depending on production schedules.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
