Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Shift Incharge to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our production unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production process while maintaining product quality, adhering to safety standards, and managing a team of production staff. The role requires leadership and strong technical skills to drive productivity in a pesticide manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Production Supervision :
• Oversee and manage all production activities during the assigned shift to ensure timely production and delivery of pesticide products.
• Monitor the performance of production equipment, machinery, and personnel to ensure optimal utilization and minimize downtime.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met.
• Team Management :
• Lead, motivate, and guide production operators, technicians, and other shift staff to maintain a high level of performance.
• Assign tasks and manage workflow across production lines.
• Ensure proper training and skill development for the shift team.
• Quality Control & Compliance :
• Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards for all products manufactured, ensuring they meet the company's specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production area and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Handle deviations and non-conformances by coordinating corrective actions.
• Process Optimization & Troubleshooting :
• Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements for increasing productivity, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related issues, such as machine breakdowns, quality deviations, or staffing concerns.
• Shift Documentation & Reporting :
• Maintain accurate and timely production records, including daily production reports, inventory levels, and any operational issues.
• Provide shift handover reports to the next shift in charge to ensure seamless operations.
• Report any significant production issues or deviations to the Production Manager.
• Inventory & Raw Materials Management :
• Ensure the availability of necessary raw materials and consumables for the shift's production.
• Monitor and control stock levels of materials, identifying any shortages or surplus.
Requirements
• Education :
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A diploma or certification in a relevant field would also be considered.
• Experience :
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/shift in-charge role within the chemical, pesticide, or manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience in operating production machinery and managing a production team.
• Skills :
• Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and plant operations.
• Ability to identify process improvements and troubleshoot issues quickly.
• Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, ISO), and quality control procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic ERP systems for production planning and reporting.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
