Areas like material planning, scheduling shop floor, plant loading maintenance of optimal inventory targets & utilizing the available resources & productivity improvements will be a few of the key metrics of measurements.The job description of a Sr. Production Planner includes operational planning within an organization to ensure Scheduling shop floor, loading the lines while meeting inventory targets & utilizing the available resources & improve productivityProduction Planning :

• Single point contact for delivery plan for Sales & PD for RM availability
• Helping production team by scheduling
• Monitor and evaluate operational performance against targets.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend operational efficiencies..

Forecasting and Analysis:

• Conduct data analysis and forecasting to support planning activities.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders related to capacity enhancements well in advance.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the organization

Project Management:

• Lead or support cross-functional projects related to strategic initiatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Coordinate resources and monitor project progress and performance.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with departments across the organization to align planning efforts.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input and drive consensus.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance planning processes.

Inventory Management:

• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate material availability.
• Conduct regular stock reviews and collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory turnover rates.

Technology and Tools:

• Utilize planning software and tools to facilitate analysis and reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in planning technologies.

The candidate must havexc2xb7 Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles and concepts relevant to the industrial practice (eg.. know-how of manufacturing steps like FG & SFG concepts) This includes familiarity with project management methodologies and scheduling techniques. He / She should have hands on expertise in using ERPxe2x80x99s in PP module in depth & in depth knowledge on TPS or Lean conceptsxc2xb7 Project Planning and Scheduling: Proficiency in creating and maintaining project schedules using tools such as, Excell, Microsoft Project, or similar software. Ability to develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and implement critical path analysis when required.xc2xb7 Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess business requirements, analyze data, and identify potential risks or constraints.xc2xb7 Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with all stakeholders, including sales, Product development (PD) , Production, SCM, and management.xc2xb7 Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project schedules and resource planning.
